Official presentation of the Sangemini MG.Kvis Olmo Vega team

Olmo’s return to professional cycling crowned once and for all at the official presentation of the Sangemini MG.Kvis Olmo Vega Team in the splendid setting of the estate of Tenuta Artimino in Tuscany. The UCI Continental squad appears to be a mix of fresh talent and energy, thanks to the skill of Team Manager, Angelo Baldini, who has shown he is capable of picking a young group with great potential.

The complete line-up has a shortlist of 11 riders, including those confirmed from the previous season, such as Michele Gazzara, Nicola Gaffurini, Niccolò Salvietti, Paolo Totò, Andrea Genga, Andrea Tomassini and Michele Scartezzini, who was not present at the ceremony as he was riding in the Vuelta San Juan in Argentina with Davide Cassani’s national team. The new arrivals in the line-up are Davide Orrico, Italian champion in the Elite, Simone Bernardini from La Spezia, Alessandro Marinozzi Paolo Prandini and Elia Ciabocco.

Visibly excited, the boys in the line-up directed by Maurizio Frizzo and Davide Corsini, are now getting ready to face an important season which will see them travel throughout the world in the various national and international Continental circuits, where they will have to compete at the highest level. The Team will see their first major test with their official debut on 5 February at the GP Costa degli Etruschi.

Many eyes will be on the ace up the team’s sleeve, the Zerouno Team Edition, which it will be using to tackle the races. This is a bike in which Olmo has great faith, which represents the best in Italian racing technology, thanks to its Campagnolo Super Record design and its Bora Ultra wheels, the Vittoria Corsa tubulars, the Deda Zero100 / Superzero handlebar and seat post and the SLR carbon flow custom Olmo saddle by Selle Italia.
The Italian footprint is important not merely for the choice of line-up, but also for the sponsors and collaborators, and it renews the tradition of the Olmo brand, which has always stood for the values of Made in Italy.
The event was also an opportunity to introduce the Team’s official Mascot, Gemini, the eagle that will encourage the group and follow them to every sports appointment. A mix of strength, skill and courage, talents every cyclist has to pull out of the bag to give his best in a race.
The Acque Minerali d’Italia group is renewing its commitment to the team with the Sangemini brand as title sponsor, and Olmo will also have the Pool Pharma group with MG.K Vis at its side. The team project will, therefore, be accompanied by two prestigious companies, for which sport is an intrinsic part of their business.
The successful event concluded with thanks from Olmo’s General Manager, Andrea Farmakakis to their technical partners and to the large audience taking part.

Sangemini MG.Kvis Olmo Vega is ready to begin with enthusiasm and with the aim of winning once again.
